As part of Glyn Rhosyn’s new Healthy Cooking Skills Group, residents have been learning why healthy eating plays such an important role in health and social care.
By preparing fresh, balanced meals, individuals are supported to maintain their physical health, energy levels and overall wellbeing.
Recently, the group has enjoyed making a range of nutritious dishes including Stuffed Roasted Peppers, Honey Flapjacks and Cottage Pie, all using fresh ingredients that were simple and accessible to prepare. These sessions not only promote healthier food choices, but also encourage independence, confidence and social interaction, all key aspects of providing person-centred care.
